Kill Your Darlings, directed by John Krokidas and starring Daniel Radcliffe, was given the 2013 Venice Days award. The reason behind the choice: “a piece of work with great author creativity, which was able, thanks to a rigorous choice in style and approach, to mark a new season of American films where the reasoning of audiences, fans, and the century’s cultural memory are all respected. The film’s strength comes from spectacular performances by its actors, from its original score, from its refined and moving style. The film became an authentic event during the 70th Venice Film Festival.”
