The Broadway Warm-Up (TBW) is a completely synchronized vocal and dance warm-up for professional and aspiring musical theatre performers.
As a private teacher, Kim Stern had been working with students for years who were either singers who dance who would warm themselves up vocally before a show but leave out a physical warm-up or dancers who sing who would do a dance warm-up but leave out the vocal warm-up. They felt shy, they didn't know exactly what to do or they just plain didn't have the time. Kim's teaching stuyle has always been based on the idea that the voice is an instrument of the body and if we are holding physical tension, vocal tension is sure to follow. Deirdre Goodwin and Kim Stern came together to create TBW because they both felt there was something missing in the industry. They've created a warm-up that is completely synchronized for both dancing and singing where the movement is designed to free the voice and the voice is organically connected to the movement. The've also built in tools that an actor can use on a daily basis to get ready for virtually any performance! CREDITS: LOCATION RECORDING & MIX |
